Immigration and Asylum
Our immigration and asylum unit has 1 solicitor and 2 senior caseworkers and gives advice by telephone in the first instance.
Please call 020 7607 2461 on Mondays only between 10am and 12noon.
The receptionist will take your details and pass them to the unit. A legal adviser will call you for a telephone advice session within a week. If the adviser ascertains that you need further advice and assistance, he or she will endeavour to make a face-to-face appointment with you, either at the law centre or at one of several outreach locations around the borough. If as sometimes happens we cannot give you an appointment because of high demand, the caseworker will assist you in trying to find alternative representation.
Advice offered by the unit includes:
All aspects of Asylum and ECHR Rights law from initial applications to appeals before the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, the higher courts and the European Court of Human Rights
All aspects of immigration law, including entry clearance applications, applications for leave to remain outside and within the immigration rules, related appeals before the Asylum & Immigration Tribunal & the higher courts
